Attention all Cornish Hauliers operating vehicles in London!
The Mayor of London’s “Vision Zero” means Transport for London (TFL) are tightening up the rules from October 2024 for vehicles 12 tonnes and over entering Greater London. Operators are now finding out that they will need to upgrade their existing safety equipment to meet this new standard if they are to be granted a permit to enter the exclusion zone.
Wosson? are pleased to announce that we will be suppling and installing the necessary equipment for the “Progressive Safety System” including Camera Monitoring System “CMS”, Moving Off Information system “MOIS”, Blind Spot Information System “BSIS” and Audible Alarms.
A Word of Warning!
When DVS was originally introduced back in 2020 many Hauliers and Operators struggled to meet the deadline due to shortages of equipment, a lack of understanding and the sheer number of vehicles that needed to be installed. Wosson? are advising customers not to leave it to nearer the deadline and risk paying the £500 a day penalty for non compliance.
